Universal Account Number which is known as UAN. It is being allotted by the Employees’ Fund Organization (EPFO) only. UAN number is necessary when you Opt-In for the Employees’ Provident Fund. EPFO allows employers to generate their employees’ UAN through its portal unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in, individual users can also create their UAN online. Once you have successfully created UAN after Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) you will get a 12-digit number. By using this number you will able to access your EPF account, you can view your EPF passbook and you can check your total balance in the EPF account

 

How to create a UAN number online

 

• Now, click on the Aadhaar/PAN option and then enter your Aadhaar/PAN number as per your choice.
• Enter your name, date of birth, mobile number, and CAPTCHA code.
• Hit the Get Authorization Pin button.

 

 

• You will now move to a new screen where you will be provided with your given details. Ensure all are correct.
• Click on the Agree checkbox.
• Now, enter the OTP you receive on your mobile.
• Click on Validate OTP and Activate UAN.

Once all steps are completed. Then you will receive UAN and password. Now login to your account and check your details.
